Honda CRF250L Ready for road and trail
SHARP AND FOCUSSED
Styled directly from the world of motocross, it’s our sleekest CRF250L ever.
We’ve added performance upgrades to open up more riding opportunities for newcomers and older riders too – no matter what kind of journey you want to tackle. With eye-catching racing colours and new bodywork – an influence from the competitive CRF450R motocross bike – it may look aggressive, but it has a friendly and compliant temperament that’s easy on the rider.
Enduro Style
A dual purpose, Enduro style motorcycle with EURO4-compliant, DOHC, 4-valve engine. Includes: Showa suspension, 7.8 litre fuel tank. 2195 wheelbase, 255mm ground clearance, 875mm seat height and two-channel ABS brakes
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
It’s no lightweight when it comes to features: the CRF250L is strong on practicality, style, agility and performance
Floating discs with ABS
For extra braking power a 296mm floating, wave-style, disc is gripped by a two-piston caliper. Two-channel ABS is fitted as standard and gives the rider the option to switch off the rear caliper for independent control when you need it.
Digital dash
Easy-to-see information is laid out and displayed clearly on the digital dash, which features a speedometer, tachometer plus fuel gauge and clock.
HRC Colours
The CRF250L comes finished in Honda’s Extreme Red competition colour – just like the racing CRF450R – as a base, with black and white accents inspired by the HRC factory machines.
Long range fuel tank
The 7.8L (including 1.8L reserve) fuel tank delivers class-leading range of over 250km - that’s a lot of road and off-road. The flat filler cap is hinged for convenience.
Slim side panels
From the bike’s mid-section to the back, the style is sharp and aggressive – pure Motocross and Enduro – with super-slim shrouds, side panels and a seat and tank combination that helps the rider move freely on the machine.
Rear Suspension
Pro-Link rear suspension features a ratio revised for rider comfort. The Showa shock absorber is a single tube design with 40mm diameter cylinder.
Front Suspension
A 43mm Showa inverted fork works as a single unit – one side contains the spring while the other provides damping control. The spring rate and damping have been tuned to suit the bike’s road and off-road capability.
Lighter swingarm
The tapered aluminium alloy swingarm incorporates a monoblock casting that provides rigidity and balance while reducing the un-sprung mass for increased stability and better handling.
PLENTY OF PUNCH
The power and performance to take on the rough and the smooth – anywhere.
The engine is a revamped, 250cc liquid-cooled, four-valve, DOHC single-cylinder type. EURO4-compliant, the PGM-FI ignition feeds fuel through a larger 38mm throttle body. All of this matched with a revised air-box and new, lighter exhaust system, makes 24.4hp at 8,500rpm and 16.66lb/ft torque 6,750rpm.
Strong and slim
A frame that’s constructed from steel – with twin oval-section main spars and a semi-double cradle – is a strong combination that’s tough enough to take on a long, off-road excursion yet narrow enough for slipping through town.
The right balance
A primary balance shaft reduces engine vibration, while the six-speed gearbox and clutch are manufactured to cope with the extra stress of riding off road – as well as delivering smooth control in town traffic.
The 250cc engine provides a good handful of torque when the trail starts to get a little steeper
The CRF250L is light and agile with all the attitude of a tough motocross machine; just right for taking on town traffic as well as weekend trail riding.
